PS26/2 in practice: From requirement to reporting process.

Wednesday 25 November 2026, 10am–11am GMT

From 18 March 2027, UK financial services firms will face new, standardised requirements for reporting operational incidents and material third-party arrangements. Join Gary Lynam, Managing Director, EMEA and Matt Taylor, Senior Manager of Sales Engineering for EMEA and North America, for a practical session on what’s changing, what to prepare now, and a live demo of how Protecht helps you capture and maintain the required information.

The FCA’s PS26/2 introduces a single approach to reporting operational incidents and material third-party arrangements, taking effect on 18 March 2027. Many firms will find the challenge isn’t understanding the forms, but knowing whether the right information is captured, owned and up to date when a report is due.

In this 45-minute session we’ll explain what changes, how Standard and Enhanced incident reporting differ, and what material third-party notifications and the annual register involve.

We’ll then show, live, how Protecht’s incident and vendor risk management capabilities help firms hold the information the FCA requires inside their existing risk workflows.

You will learn how to:

  • Understand what PS26/2 requires and when, and how incident reporting differs from material third-party reporting
  • Apply Standard and Enhanced incident reporting, including the key reporting timelines
  • Identify what counts as a significant change to a third-party arrangement, and what the annual register involves
  • Check where your information comes from, who owns it and who keeps it current
  • Test your process before March, for example with a simulated incident
  • Capture incident information and maintain the data the FCA requires inside your existing risk workflows
