John Wilson
Chair
John Wilson has over 30 years experience leading and investing in businesses principally in the data and technology space. He is currently a director of a number of privately owned Australian technology businesses.
John holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Victoria University. He is also a Fellow of CPA Australia.
David Bergmark
Chief Executive Officer
David Bergmark is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the Protecht Group. David’s vision and passion is to use technology to drive best practice risk management and embed risk management within each one of Protecht’s clients.
David holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from UNSW. He is a Fellow of FINSIA and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.
Jason Phillips
Chief Operating Officer
Jason Phillips is the Chief Operating Officer at Protecht. He is experienced in leading strategic initiatives to meet aggressive profit and growth targets. Jason also leads the group's Finance, Accounting, and M&A functions.
Jason holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colorado College.
John Clancy
Non-Executive Director
John Clancy is a managing director and head of portfolio operations in PSG's Boston office. He leads the portfolio operations team and works with PSG portfolio companies on strategic planning, operational excellence and to help maximize go-to-market opportunities.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College.
Adam Marcus
Non-Executive Director
Adam Marcus is a managing director in PSG's Boston office. Previously he was a partner at OpenView Venture Partners, where he invested in SaaS and infrastructure companies.
Adam holds a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College.
Thomas Soule
Non-Executive Director
Thomas Soule is a vice president in PSG's Boston office. Previously, he was a deal team associate at Audax Group, a Boston-based private equity firm.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.

John has over 30 years experience leading and investing in businesses principally in the data and technology space. He is currently a Director of a number of privately owned Australian Technology businesses, including CreditorWatch, Angle Auto Finance, Tic:Toc Homeloans and Land Services SA.
John’s executive career included senior roles at Veda (now Equifax Australia), where he was responsible for leading the major business lines, and managing strategy, innovation, marketing, B2C / Digital and acquisitions. Prior to Veda, John was Asia Pacific President for SunGard (now FIS), and prior to that he was a Partner at KPMG.
John holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Victoria University. He completed the Company Directors Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors and advanced leadership and finance training at IMD. He is also a Fellow of CPA Australia.
David Bergmark
Chief Executive Officer
David Bergmark is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the Protecht Group. David’s vision and passion is to use technology to drive best practice risk management and embed risk management within each one of Protecht’s clients.
He is the driving force behind the Protecht ERM system and integrating our thought leadership capabilities into the product to provide a consistent and seamless risk management experience for our customers.
David started out in the audit division of Price Waterhouse in 1990, handling clients such as Macquarie Bank and Bankers Trust. By 1994 he was Risk Controller for Carrington Securities - a financial markets trading company.
In 1996 David left Carrington to head up the Risk Management Department at IBJ Australia Bank (IBJA) where he was responsible for the development of all risk disciplines at the bank – market, credit, liquidity and operational.
Jason Phillips
Chief Operating Officer
Jason Phillips is the Chief Operating Officer at Protecht. He has a plethora of experience in leading strategic initiatives to meet aggressive profit and growth targets.
Jason also leads the Finance, Accounting, and M&A functions providing budgeting, investment prioritization, and ad-hoc financial support across the business functions.
John Clancy

John Clancy is a managing director and head of portfolio operations in our Boston office. He leads the portfolio operations team and works with PSG portfolio companies on strategic planning, operational excellence and to help maximize go-to-market opportunities. John has over 20 years of experience in building high growth, market leading software and technology enabled businesses.
Prior to joining PSG in 2016, John was the president of Radius Worldwide, the leading provider of international business software and services. Previously, he was the CEO and president of Azuki Systems, now part of Ericsson, a leading provider of over-the-top video delivery to mobile and tablet devices. John was also the president of Iron Mountain Digital, where he grew revenues from $40 million to $250 million over a 5-year period. Prior to Iron Mountain, he was the COO at Connected Corporation, an early pioneer in the software as a service (SaaS) market and leader in PC data protection.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College.

Prior to OpenView Partners, Adam was an investor at Battery Ventures where he focused on B2B software and ecommerce sectors globally.
Adam holds a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College.
Evan Ocko
Non-Executive Director
Evan Ocko is a senior vice president in PSG's Boston office. Previously, he was an investment banking analyst in the technology group at Barclays in New York.
Evan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University.

Allison Misso is Protecht’s Chief Financial Officer. She is a versatile, results driven finance leader who is commercially minded, understands key business drivers and provides strong financial leadership.
Damien Stevens
Chief Product & Marketing Officer
Damien Stevens leads our Product & Marketing team and is responsible for Protecht’s global product vision, design and go to market strategy. He graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a degree in Marketing & Finance.
Peter Walker
Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Security Officer
Peter Walker has more than 20 years of experience in software development; including design and architecture, security, testing, and consulting. Peter has a CISSP certification and is responsible for driving the development of Protecht's risk management software.
Tim Woodforde
General Counsel
Tim Woodforde is the General Counsel of Protecht. Tim was previously General Counsel at a leading data and analytics technology company, and before then had more than 20 years’ experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer and corporate advisor at leading professional service firms in Sydney and London.
David Tattam

David Tattam is the Chief Research & Content Officer and co-founder of the Protecht Group. David's vision is to redefine the way the world thinks about risk and to develop risk management to its rightful place as being a key driver of value creation in each of Protecht's customers.
David is the driving force in taking Protecht's risk thinking to the frontiers of what is possible in risk management and to support the uplift of people risk capability through training and content.
Prior to Protecht, David was the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Operations for the Australian operations of two global banks. He started his career as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor with Grant Thornton and PwC. He is also the author of A Short Guide to Operational Risk.
David is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia. He is passionate about risk and risk management and in reaping the value that risk and good risk management can create for any business willing to embrace it.
Mark Anderson
Head of Business Delivery
Mark Anderson is responsible for delivering our critical strategic initiatives across the entire Protecht Group. Mark places great emphasis on prioritisation, dependencies, risks and communication. Mark has over 25 years’ experience as an IT and Project Management professional.
Leading diverse teams and large complex programs of work, across software, infrastructure, DevOps, security and quality assurance, Mark is widely recognised as having a can-do attitude and is passionate about delivery across a multitude of technologies and platforms. Mark is an excellent communicator and works successfully across all business units. He has been responsible for delivering high transactional e-commerce solutions, incorporating leading edge UX across web, mobile, retail, B2B and B2C environments.
Mark has led many technology based mergers and acquisition (up to $750M) programs in the past, implemented optimised business processes, and delivered across multiple platform and data migrations.
Nick Broome
Chief Customer Success Officer
Nick Broome is an experienced risk management specialist having spent over 25 years in the profession including senior roles at KPMG, Macquarie, Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Nick is passionate about the opportunities to improve our understanding of the drivers of risks to help manage them better.
Nick’s varied experience across consulting and industry leaves him well positioned to advise clients not just on risk management theory but also what works in practice. As an industry, he believes we have only scratched the surface on this and still have a lot to learn.
Outside work, most of Nick’s spare time revolves around his family. On summer weekends, he will normally be found on the side of a cricket pitch somewhere in the greater Sydney area, watching his son play or walking his dog.
Megan Connell
Head of Marketing
Megan Connell leads the marketing team and is responsible for brand, growth, and the go-to-market programs. She is a strategic B2B marketing professional with 25 years' experience across a range of industries including software, technology, medical devices, and services marketing.
Megan has worked for companies in high growth and complex markets where she has led and built high performing teams. She embraces change and is passionate about addressing and solving customer problems.
Sharon Fenton
Chief People Officer
Sharon Fenton is responsible for leading Protecht's People and Culture function and assisting our people to grow with our business.
Sharon is responsible for attracting the right people to join us, maintaining our fantastic company culture, engaging and retaining our own talent. Sharon has extensive experience in human resources leadership, business partnership, recruitment, organisational development, employee relations, policy and procedure and coaching.
Prior to Protecht, Sharon worked across different industries including fintech, technology and networking, telecommunications, insurance and education.
Ian Hadwen

Ian Hadwen is an experienced sales and product management professional having worked in credit/data services, financial services and telecommunication industries. Ian’s prior roles have included very successful individual business development and account relationship functions.
More recent roles have included general management and team leadership for large, complex service lines as well as discrete, specialised business units.
Ian’s product experience includes product strategy, design and launch. With a well developed customer-centric approach, this has significantly helped to deliver compelling customer value for sophisticated customer requirements. Ian has also been responsible for the end-to-end business management of a multi-million dollar acquired company – delivering against required objectives.
Now leading Protecht's sales and account management teams globally, Ian places great emphasis on close customer contact and deep engagement to fully understand customer need.
Terence Lee
Vice President, North America
Terence Lee is Protecht's Vice President, North America. Terry joined Protecht in 2022 to facilitate our growth in North America, bringing extensive experience in governance, risk, compliance, and incident management. Terry has led sales, product, and marketing teams at risk and compliance software vendors, and is a recognized expert in ERM, vendor risk, business continuity, regulatory change management, and resilience.
Terry's passion for helping organization's evolve their risk practices and demonstrate resilience is a perfect fit for the Protecht.ERM suite. He has spoken at conferences on risk and resilience topics for more than 12 years, and led sales, pre-sales, and inside sales globally for SaaS vendors. His extensive knowledge of the risk and compliance market, competitors, and buyer personas have enabled Protecht to rapidly build an NA customer base.
Gary Lynam

Gary Lynam has a strong track record delivering large scale and complex engagements across the financial services industry, specialising in risk and compliance solutions. He is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and has a MSc in Finance and Capital Markets.
Gary is firmly of the belief organisations have a competitive advantage in achieving their strategic objectives when understanding the risk dynamics associated to business planning activities.
Gary has over 10 years’ experience consulting and providing advisory services to a wide range of clients both locally and overseas. He has a MSc. in Finance and Capital Markets.
Prior to Protecht, Gary spent time with three global banks consulting on risk and strategic change. He started his career in Risk Advisory at KPMG.
Allison Misso
Chief Financial Officer
Allison Misso is Protecht’s Chief Financial Officer. She is a versatile, results driven finance leader who is commercially minded, understands key business drivers and provides strong financial leadership.
Allison was previously CFO at a recently acquired FinTech startup and has more than 20 years’ professional experience working in large, complex commercial enterprises.Damien Stevens

Damien Stevens leads our Product & Marketing team and is responsible for Protecht’s global product vision, design and go to market strategy. He graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a degree in Marketing & Finance.
With extensive experience in B2B software, financial services and data and analytics, Damien has built and launched many widely used and loved products that solve real problems for large and small businesses.
Peter Walker
Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Security Officer
Peter Walker has more than 20 years of experience in software development; including design and architecture, security, testing, and consulting. Peter has a CISSP certification and is responsible for driving the development of Protecht's risk management software.
His team manages all design, development, documentation, support, testing and hosting operations for the business.
Peter's many skills include Business Service Management (including ITIL and Six Sigma), System and Application Performance Management, Capacity Planning and, most recently, risk management.
